2008:  Appeared in 11 games, getting the start in two...was 60-for-93 for 476 yards and two touchdowns...went 16-for-25 for 145 yards and two touchdowns against Illinois State...passed for a career-best 228 yards against Western Kentucky.

2007:  Appeared in all 11 games during the season...served as the team’s backup quarterback...was the holder on all extra-point and field goal attempts...saw his first action under center in the season opener against Louisville...went 7-for-11 for 53 yards in the second half...was 12-for-23 for 105 yards and two touchdowns against Austin Peay.

2006:  Redshirted during the 2006 season.

HIGH SCHOOL:
  Passed for 3,671 yards and 38 touchdowns in two seasons at Dunbar High School...completed 120-of-240 passes for 2,171 yards, tossed 20 touchdown passes and ran for nine more scores while leading the Bulldogs to a 10-3 record as a senior...was selected all-conference and all-city following his senior season...selected team captain and Offensive Player of the Year as a senior...passed for over 1,500 yards and threw 18 touchdown passes his junior season...played for head coach David Hensley as a senior and head coach Fred Barnott as a junior...earned a letter as the back-up quarterback at Scott County High School his freshman season.

PERSONAL:  Full name is William Christopher Franklin...born Aug. 25, 1986...son of Mike and Gayle Franklin...has two sisters, Michelle and Emily, and one brother, Brandon...majoring in animal health technology with a pre-veterinary medicine option.
