2007-2008 Cheerleading Squad

On behalf of the MSU Athletic Department’s Cheerleading Staff we would like to recognize our new MSU Cheerleaders. Students from Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri and Tennessee attended an intense two-day clinic/tryout this past weekend on campus. Everyone should know that the over 47 incoming freshmen and returning cheerleaders who were present and did a wonderful job at tryouts.

I am excited to announce this squad and I'm look forward to working with all of these students. I encourage all those who did not make the team this year to tryout at the Fall tryout (to be possibly held at the conclusion of the Fall 07 semester.) Please WELCOME our 2007-2008 MSU Cheerleading Squad.

Alternates: (Note: Alternates will practice/train with the squad, they will serve as replacements at the discretion of the coach. They will not cheer unless they are moved up to a cheerleader position.)

Again, THANK YOU to all of the students that attended the tryout. I will be getting in contact with all of the new squad members in regards to summer practices (June 29-30 and July 27-28) and additional information that I will need for my records.

NOTE: I am asking that all 2007-2008 cheerleaders to please email me at marteze.hammonds@murraystate.edu to confirm  your squad position. Also, note Coach Hammonds has the sole authority to add or remove persons from the MSU Cheerleading squad at his discretion.
