The Murray State track and field team traveled to Cookeville, Tenn. to compete in the Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Championships.
After the first day of competition the Racers are tied for seventh place with Eastern Kentucky with a total of 10 points.
In the 1,000-meter run Asenath NaAman finished 12th with a time of 42:12.70.
Kayla Crusham finished fifth in the 3,000-meter steeple chase with a time of 11:47.07. Katelyn Jones took seventh place (12:10.29), while Bridget Stichnot and Karissa Magnuson rounded out the top ten.
In the field events Josha Rogers finished 12th in the high jump with a leap of 5'00.25".
Lexi Barr took seventh place in the pole vault with a vault of 10'05.50".
Audris Williams finished seventh in the long jump with a leap of 17'10.25".
The OVC Track and Field Championships continue on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. CT.
