The Murray State women's track and field team battled
adverse weather conditions as they completed the Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor
Championships Saturday afternoon in Cookeville, Tenn. A tornado warning
in the area forced the meet to end early.
Audris Williams took eighth
place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.06.
In the 400-meter dash Amber Mills finished sixth with a time of 58.36.
Senior Taylor Crawford
finished second in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:42.75 and seventh in
the 800-meter run with a time of 2:22.51.
The Racers finished third in
the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 47.62.
Murray State tallied a total
of 30 points to take eighth place.
Due to the event ending
early, individual awards voting for the Championship was not completed. It is
the hope that the awards will be determined via teleconference on Monday and
