Current and former Murray State golfers had mixed results after round two of the 2010 AT&T Kentucky State Amateur Championship at Gibson Bay GC in Richmond, Ky.
The second round was competed Thursday morning after a rain delay kept some of the 155 competitors from finishing Wednesday evening.
When the second round was complete, the top-70 scores and ties advanced into the final round Thursday afternoon.
Two current MSU players made the cut. Incoming freshman Travis Thompson (Benton, Ky.) was in 48th place after scores of 71-77=148, while William Hunt (Paducah, Ky.) was in 67th place with scores of 74-76=150.
MSU had three former players make the cut with Mitchell Moore (Hopkinsville, Ky.) in ninth place after scores of 68-73=141, and Josh Rhodes (Paducah, Ky.) in 13th place with scores of 71-71-142. Jared Wolfe (Louisville, Ky.) also made the cut carding scores of 75-74=149 and a spot in 59th place.
Missing the cut for the final round included current Racer Hunter Ford (Paducah, Ky.) who was in 109th place with scores of 75-80=155, and former MSU player Chris Griffin (Paducah, Ky.) in 121st place with scores of 78-79=157.
