Membership Guidelines

The Murray State University Athletics Hall of Fame is open to former MSU student-athletes and coaches who have distinguished themselves in the athletics’ arena.

STUDENT-ATHLETES

1.                  Student-Athletes may be nominated based on their Murray State University athletic achievements.

2.                  A strong consideration will be given to those student-athletes who graduated from Murray State University. 

3.                  Student-athletes will be eligible for consideration following graduation or after the completion of their playing career.

4.                  Must have been a letter winner for at least two years.

5.                  Demonstrated outstanding performance and achievements as a student-athlete which brought exceptional distinction to the individual and/or Murray State University during their playing career.

6.                  Demonstrated outstanding performance and achievements after the student-athlete has exited from Murray State University in the athletics arena.

7.                  Student-athletes will be eligible for induction 5 years after the completion of their playing career at Murray State University.

Note:  Special circumstances may require special consideration for induction.

COACHES AND ATHLETICS ADMINISTRATORS

Current or former Murray State University Coaches or Athletics Administrators may be nominated for their outstanding contribution to Murray State University athletics.

Outstanding career as a coach or administrator that has brought exceptional  distinction to the individual and athletics department during their active employment at and or following employment at MSU.

Number of years of service and other considerations will be at the discretion of the Hall of Fame Committee.

May not be an active coach or administrator at the time they are selected for induction.

INDUCTION INFORMATION

Any person can make nominations.

To nominate an individual, please submit a MSU Athletic Hall of Fame Nomination Form.

A blank form has been enclosed.  Copies may be obtained from Crystal Morrow in the Department of Athletics or via the web at www.GoRacers.com.
