Murray State Rifle head coach Alan Lollar announced the signing of Michael Burzynski Jr., of Stratford, Conn.
Burzynski was a four-year Connecticut All-State selection at Bunnell High School and a member of the Bridgeport Rifle Club, where he was coached by Rick Capozzi.
Burzynski holds five National Rifle Association records and has competed for four years at the NRA National Championships in Camp Perry, Ohio.
In 2008, he was selected for the William Drew Cup International Postal Match.
He is a three-time Junior Olympian for USA Shooting and has also competed at the 2008 USA Shooting National Championships in Ft. Benning, GA., and qualified for the finals in smallbore.
"We are certainly excited about the addition of Michael to the Racer Family," Lollar said. "He brings a high level of work ethic and commitment to excel in both the classroom and on the range. "
Burzynski's sister, Josie, is a senior on the rifle team at UTEP.
