Murray State junior punter and kicker Kienan Cullen and senior wide receiver Marcus Harris were named to the 2010 Preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference Team in a vote conducted by the league’s head coaches and sports information directors, the league office announced Monday at its annual Media Day at LP Field in Nashville, Tenn.

Cullen (Louisville, Ky.) enters his third season as the team’s punter and kicker, and is coming off a season in which he was named the All-OVC first team as a punter and second team as a kicker.  As a punter, Cullen averaged 41 yards on 68 punts, including a career-best 72-yarder in the finale against Tennessee Tech.  He booted 15 punts over 50 yards, and had 21 punts downed inside the 20-yard line.  As a kicker, Cullen went 14-for-17 on field goals, and a perfect 22-for-22 on extra points.

Harris (St. Louis, Mo.) enters his final season as a Racer needing only 21 catches to become the school’s all-time leader.  Harris is coming off a season in which he had a team-best 45 catches for 417 yards and a pair of touchdowns.  He caught at least one pass in all 10 games he played in 2009, including a season-high seven catches against Missouri State and Southeast Missouri.

In his career, Harris has 132 catches for 1,414 yards and 12 scores.  Along with needing 21 catches to set the school record, Harris could also set school records with 967 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns.

The Racers open the 2010 season Sept. 2 at Kent State.  Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. central time.
