The Murray State men’s basketball team will play Stanford Nov. 25 in the first round of the 76 Classic in Anaheim, Calif., with a tip-off time set for 8 p.m. CST at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The Racers will play the winner/loser of the Tulsa and UNLV Nov. 26 at either 8:30 p.m. or 10:30 p.m.

The 76 Classic has an off day Nov. 27, before the eight teams play their final games Nov. 28.

Other first round games Nov. 25 include Virginia Tech against Cal State Northridge (1 p.m.), DePaul vs. Oklahoma State (3:30 p.m.) and Tulsa vs. UNLV (10:30 p.m.).

The ESPN family of networks will broadcast all 12 games of the event which has a bracket-tournament format.

Murray State’s first game with Stanford will be carried by ESPNU when they meet for the first time.

The 76 Classic features a strong field with three teams that competed in the NCAA Tournament last spring, including the Racers (Ohio Valley), Oklahoma State (Big-12) and UNLV (Mountain West). Two teams, Tulsa (Conference USA) and Virginia Tech (ACC) appeared in the NIT. Cal-Northridge (Big West), DePaul (Big East) and Stanford (Pac-10) make up the rest of the field.

The Big West Conference again will serve as the host for the 76 Classic at the 7,500-seat Anaheim Convention Center, which has served the conference for the past nine years as the site of its postseason tournament.

Tickets to the 2010 76 Classic go on sale Monday, Aug. 16, and can be purchased at www.Ticketmaster.com or by calling 714-704-3000. Packages include all 12 games for $90, or single-session tickets for $20. Special travel package information can be found at GETTRAVEL.com.
