Guo Named OVC Setter of the Week

Junior Jade Guo was named OVC Setter of the Week for her performance at the Bearcat Invitational.
Murray State volleyball junior, Jade Guo was named Ohio Valley Conference Setter of the Week after helping the Racers to the championship match of the Bearcat Invitational hosted by Cincinnati.
MSU first defeated James Madison (3-0) and then Kent State (3-2) before falling to the Bearcats (0-3) in the championship match.
Guo helped lead the Racers to the three best hitting percentages on the season. MSU finished the Bearcat Invitational with a .284 mark versus Cincinnati and a .257 mark for the tournament. She recorded her first triple-double of the season against Kent State with 11 kills, 14 digs and 51 assists. She tallied the third-best hitting percentage on the team with a .318 mark to go with 17 kills and 24 digs.
The Racers will be in action again Friday and Saturday, Sep 10-11 at the UE Dunn Hospitality Tournament hosted by Evansville. MSU will first face Loyola (Chicago) Friday at 3 p.m. and then will battle with Western Carolina Saturday at 10 a.m. and the host Purple Aces at 6 p.m.
