Blue Named OVC ADIDAS Athlete of the Week

Murray State freshman women's tennis player Megan Blue was named the Ohio Valley Conference ADIDAS Athlete of the Week for her performance last week for the Racers.
Blue went 2-1 in singles play last week, including a 2-0 mark in OVC play. She has now won four of her last five matches and is a perfect 4-0 in conference action.
Blue defeated Merritt Whitley of EIU (7-5, 7-5) on Saturday and followed that up with a win over SIUE's Sierra Halverson (6-4, 6-4) at No. 3 singles. She also went 1-1 at No. 2 doubles play during the week.
Blue and the rest of the Racers will host a pair of matches this weekend. UT Martin comes to town on Friday for a 1 p.m. match, while Southeast Missouri will visit Saturday morning at nine.
