Assistant Women’s Softball Coach, Athletics, Murray State University. Full time position.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree is required. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work well with students, faculty, community, and media. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Knowledge of and ability to apply NCAA and conference rules as they pertain to women’s softball program. Successful candidate will be required to pass the NCAA Off Campus Recruiting Exam. Master’s degree preferred. Recruiting experience preferred, preferably at the NCAA level.
Responsibilities: Assist the head coach in conducting an organized and effective recruitment program with commitment to academic and athletic excellence. Assist in the organization and supervision of practices and games. Assist in the development of a playing schedule, scouting, and the coordination and management of team travel. Assist in monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes. Assist with camps. Involvement in fundraising activities.
