Murray State

The 2025-26 season marks his second with the Racers.
Came on board in the 2024-25 season as assistant coach.
Promoted to Associate Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator going into the 2025-26 season.

Before MSU

Has extensive experience coaching in the Missouri Valley Conference.
From 2019-24, coached at Southern Illinois with his brother, Bryan, who was head coach.
Coached at Illinois State from 2017-19.
Coached at UIC in 2015-17, when the Flames played in the Horizon League.
From 2010-15, coached at Wright State.
From 2009-10, coached at Green Bay.
Coached at Mercyhurst (2007-09).
Recruited All-MVC players DJ Horne, Lance Jones and Xavier Johnson to Southern Illinois and Antonio Reeves to Illinois State.
At UIC, Mullins was part of the recruitment of 2016 Horizon League Freshman of the Year, Dikembe Dixson.
At Wright State, Mullins was on staff for two 20-win teams that each played in a postseason tournament.

Personal

Brendan and his wife, Alexandria Mullins, have a daughter, Madelyn Mae Mullins, born May 2024.
Played prep basketball at Downers Grove South were he was a 2003 Illinois All-State selection.
A 2007 graduate of St Michael's College (D2) Burlington, Vermont.
Was a 1,000-Point scorer at St. Michael's and was a 2007 All-Conference/All-Region pick.
