Mardracus Wade joined Murray State Basketball as an assistant coach ahead of the 2025-26 season.

Wade's first season at Murray State finished with a 20-13 overall record, a 12-8 mark in Missouri Valley Conference play and a third-place finish in the league standings, the program’s best MVC regular-season finish and most conference wins since joining the league. The Racers also earned a postseason berth in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). Offensively, Murray State developed into one of the most productive teams in the country, averaging 83.1 points per game while ranking among the nation’s top teams in offensive efficiency.

A veteran coach in collegiate game with stops at Memphis, South Carolina State and Alabama State, Wade helped lead Alabama State to the SWAC tournament title and a berth to the NCAA tournament. Prior to working in the college game, he worked alongside Ernie Kuyper with Hoop City Basketball Club in Memphis, Tennessee.

Wade played at Arkansas, where he finished in the top-8 in school history in steals and in the top-20 in made three-pointers. He later played three seasons in the NBA G- League with the Iowa Wolves and the Greensboro Swarm and played internationally in Germany, Taiwan and China. Wade earned a degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Arkansas.
